Your responsibilities

  • Design a global trial plan in line with the crop strategy, including organizing  meaningful evaluations and data collection to make professional and market-oriented elevation decisions.

  • Act as a linking pin by getting R&D, sales, and seed supply aligned.

  • Salesforce is a really important tool within our organization. You will actively use Salesforce to store your customer data and use all the data from CRM to further optimize your portfolio strategy.

  • Develop an optimized portfolio per Customer Team and support successful commercial introductions of varieties by developing the right sales tools and setting up the right communications strategy via Salesforce.

  • Coordinate with Breeding and Sales on mid/long term breeding objectives, priorities and product specifications and ensure clear communication between all stakeholders.

  • Understand the food supply chain, detect challenges and translate this knowledge into relevant solutions for our partners.

  • Monitor the margin development of the portfolio and advise on value based pricing.

  • You will use our Product Management system Mercado to bring focus into your trial evaluations.

  • Lead the yearly performance review in the crop business plan together with breeding, seed supply, finance

  • During the period of May – September, you will travel extensively (75% of your time) throughout Europe and the United States to evaluate trials on site and talk to customers.

To seed your future, you’ve got the following skills:

  • A minimum of a BS degree in Agronomy with 5 or more years of experience in the international seed industry, preferably in vegetable seeds.

  • A helicopter view to connect the dots; you are good at steering things to make sure the right things will happen.

  • You are goal-oriented and have a team-oriented mindset. Successes are celebrated together, and you are driven to achieve goals together.

  • You are a natural born leader.

  • You are able to work with different cultures. For example, you will deal with West Frisian, American and Southern and Eastern European cultures. It is important that you can have everyone on board with you.

  • You are comfortable with matrix interfaces.

  • You are fluent in spoken and written English. Additional language(s) are an advantage.
